BASIC MECHANISM OF COMPUTER

This is BEING ENGINEER.

Now we are going to study about the basic mechanism of computer.Let's begin

 What is  a computer?..... All of us know that computer is an electronic invention which is used to perform different types of functions with less consumption of time. This is the basic info. Computer was invented by Sir CHARLES BABBAGE. 

 

 The major parts of computer are

1.MONITOR : The device which is used for observing,checking or keeping a continuous record of something

2. KEYBOARD : The device which is used to give input and instructions to the system.

3. CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT :The CPU is also known as the brain of the computer.This is the major organ which controls all the operations which are being performed by the computer.

 

This is the basic information that all of us know.But there is something more in it.The CPU consists of two major units.They are

1.ARITHMETIC LOGIC UNIT : This arithmetic logic unit performs all the arithmetic operations and calculations.

2.CONTROL UNIT :The control unit is the region where all the operations are being controlled and performed in a particular manner.It also influences ALU and memory unit.

 

 The entire data in the computer is stored in memory unit.This unit plays a key role in storing and retrieving the data.Without memory unit , it'll not possible to store the information.

MEMORY UNIT : This region is used for storing the data.The data is stored in the form of " BYTES".

 This is just a brief note on basic mechanism of computer.The next article will be about storage devices and their applications.
